LUBC looking for a huge haul of freshers!

Lancaster University Boat Club Summer Ball

Lancaster University Boat Club is looking to recruit a huge amount of freshers in the new year 2012/2013. Having had the summer olympics held in our own country we feel there may be a lot of interest in rowing and sport in general this year!

If you are a complete Novice wanting to try something new, or you are a seasoned veteran looking to continue your rowing career at University, LUBC is certainly the place for you.

We have a good selection of boats, a tidy boat house located directly beside the River Lune, but most of all the atmosphere of our club is among the best, we don't just row together, we spend most of our university time together in or outside of rowing hours.

If you are interested in rowing at Lancaster University please do not hesitate to contact us!

LUBC hit Hexham regatta HARD!

Lancaster University Boat Club attended a small northern event in Hexham just a week before Durham Regatta, the regatta consisted of 3-4 races each and as a whole the club was overwhelmed with how well we done, having had a bad year both our mens boats went on to collect first place medals.

Unfortunately the women weren't so lucky, having to re-race 3 times in a row and then race again very shortly after it just didn't seem fair. But overall it was a lovely day, the weather stayed dry and medals were brought home!

Special thanks to Hexham Boat Club who hosted the event and big well done to LUBC!
